Dedouze switched to a full-time freelance career as an illustrator in 2018. He learned to draw with traditional mediums and in CGI during his free spare time, while he worked as a web developer. Blender is a free, open-source 3D graphics and animation tool that can be downloaded here (where you’ll find Dedouze’s work is currently featured): ĭedouze is a self-taught illustrator and animator based in Paris. Participants must be prepared with a PC or laptop with Blender pre-installed as well as a computer mouse. This will be hosted on the IGDA Twitch Channel!
This masterclass is for artists and designers working in diverse fields involving motion graphics, including: animation, illustration, concept art, web development, advertising, etc. 2D animation will be tackled with Blenders sophisticated Greasepencil tool. Dedouze will guide participants through the development pipeline: from the initial storyboard, to creating and compositing animated 2D and 3D objects in the same scene, and finishing with special effects, camera adjustments, final editing and rendering.
